Conversation With Sheri McGill of Dental Staffing of the Carolinas, Inc.

Last Friday at the 2007 Holiday Dental Conference I had an opportunity to speak with a true professional, Ms. Sheri McGill. Ms. McGill, a licensed Dental Hygienist, is Owner/President of the leading dental staffing agency in Charlotte, Dental Staffing of the Carolina’s, Inc. In addition to their location in Charlotte, they have a new office in the Western Piedmont area. While my conversation with Ms. McGill was brief, I gained some valuable insight on marketing to dental professionals. I appreciate her graciousness and her generosity with her time at such a busy event. I am looking forward to my next meeting with her. So, if you have a dental practice and are looking to fill an open staff position I would strongly encourage you to give Ms. Sheri McGill a call at 704.535.2272.

2007 Holiday Dental Conference

I had an opportunity to go to the 2007 Holiday Dental Conference at the Charlotte Convention Center on Friday. The exhibit hall was small (50 or so exhibitors) compared to other conferences I have been at. However, in fairness, this is considered a continuing education conference, and at that is excels. One of the seminars that I had plans on attending, It’s a Dirty World Out There!, was presented by Ms. Karen Gregory, RN. This seminar meets the mandatory SPICE (Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology) training requirements for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants in North Carolina.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the seminar (but did purchase the program audio CD). However, I did get an opportunity to speak briefly with Ms. Gregory during her morning break. She was very pleasant and I look forward to speaking with her again in the near future. See is an experienced and and well respected heathcare educator.

Hello (Dental) World. We’ve arrived!

Well. After being in labor for a few months now we finally gave birth to our new baby, DDS Training, a dental emergency medical training company providing BLS, ACLS, and continuing education for dental professionals only. Our little Dental CPR & ACLS pride and joy was born near Charlotte, North Carolina. We have to admit that we’re still a little sore, but the doctor says that we should be up and around in a few days.

We have high hopes for little “DDS” and are sure that he will become the 900 pound gorilla of the dental emergency medical training world (like many parents we are reliving our childhood through our little one)! So, hello dental world. We’ve arrived (or, uh, DDS Training has arrived)!
